Linda Llamas received her Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) and Master of Science degree (M.S.) in Psychology at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She has worked in the psychological field since 2001 and is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Linda is currently employed with the Desert/Mountain SELPA Children's Center conducting individual, family and school based counseling. Her role as a Marriage and Family Therapist includes processing personal issues with families, teens, and children, facilitating trainings, providing psycho-educational groups on diagnosis and how to handle concerning symptoms at home, assessing homicidal and suicidal behavior and crisis management.

Additionally, Linda has worked in a variety of settings to expand her clinical role. Such settings include group homes, school-based counseling, foster care, in home counseling, inpatient care and intensive outpatient programs. She has also worked with a wide range of populations including teenagers, severely emotionally disturbed clients, young children, adults, and multi-family groups.

Due to her passion for learning, Linda has continued to attend trainings such as mediation classes, parenting classes, EMDR, domestic violence, play therapy, and managing assaultive behaviors. Linda feels that her desire to learn has made her a more competent therapist over the years.
