Dr. Nene Cook is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at IFC Wellness Center. She received her doctorate in Clinical-Community Psychology from the University of La Verne, California. Dr. Cook also received her masters in Psychology from the University of La Verne and her bachelors in Psychology from Cal State University, Fullerton.

Dr. Cook provides a variety of mental health services to children, adults, and families within multiculturally-diverse communities in Southern California. She has worked with clients in individual, group, and family settings throughout her years of clinical training.

“I have worked with clients in community mental health agencies, schools, and in an outpatient hospital setting in Los Angeles county. Currently in private practice, I assist clients in discovering ways to address their emotional and psychological issues within the context of holism. In therapy, clients learn to consider all aspects of their functioning as human beings (biological, emotional, psychological, spiritual, social, etc.) and they are able to explore ways in which these aspects of themselves, together, impact their overall well-being.

Since no two clients are alike, my approach to treatment planning takes into consideration each client's own unique values, life experiences, cultural identity, and other important factors. I strive to provide a supportive environment in which clients may become empowered and eventually experience an enhanced quality of life.

I have an interest in mental health issues among women, peri- and postnatal psychological issues, grief and loss issues, college student mental health, and the psychological impact of school bullying. I offer reduced rates to college and university students, pregnancy and postpartum clients, and clients who can demonstrate financial hardship."
